Now Hiring TDHH - Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Near Novato, CA
Sunbelt is currently seeking a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join a local district near Novato, CA. As a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments. Your expertise and commitment will empower students to overcome communication barriers and achieve academic success.
Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student with hearing impairments.
Provide direct instruction to students, utilizing various teaching strategies and resources to foster language development, literacy, and overall educational growth.
Adapt and modify instructional materials, curriculum, and assessments to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure equal access to education.
Collaborate with school staff, including speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and other educators, to create a comprehensive support system for students.
Conduct assessments and evaluate students' progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and interventions as necessary.
Communicate effectively with students, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure active involvement and collaboration in the educational process.
Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
Valid CA teaching certification or license in Deaf Education or Special Education with a specialization in deafness.
