Job Details:
Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Near Metcalf, Georgia
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Start Date: 2023-2024 School Year

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for 12-15 elementary students with diverse special needs
Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of students
Provide differentiated instruction and support to students within inclusion, small group, and individual settings
Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success
Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide ongoing feedback to promote student development

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Valid Teaching Georgia certification
Valid Special Education Teaching License or Certification in Georgia
Proven experience working with elementary students in inclusion, small group, and individual settings
