Phoenix, AZ: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (School-based)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at a district near the Phoenix, AZ area for the next school year. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you will play an important role in supporting our Speech Language Pathologists in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children with mild to moderate general and special education needs.

Responsibilities:

Assist in providing assessments and evaluations of children's communication and language abilities
Implement treatment plans developed by Speech Language Pathologists to improve children's communication and language skills
Provide therapy services to children under the guidance of a Speech Language Pathologist
Monitor and document children's progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
Work collaboratively with other professionals, parents, and families to support children's success

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with pediatric clients in a clinical setting
Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based interventions in Speech-Language Pathology
Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and communicate effectively with parents and families
