Job Description

Are you a skilled and certified Surgical Technician looking for a casual position in Mount Pleasant, Michigan? Look no further! We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies.
Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and adhere to infection control protocols.
Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and draping.
Handle and care for surgical specimens with accuracy and attention to detail.
Clean and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
Assist in the transportation of patients to and from the operating room.
Contribute to maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

Requirements:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is essential.
Proven experience as a Surgical Technician in an operating room setting.
Sound knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings as needed.
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
