Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Wakefield, MA
Type: Full-time
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to work with students who have diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide direct instruction and support in both inclusive and pull-out settings.
Create and adapt instructional materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive and supportive classroom environments.
Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress.
Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEP goals.
Stay current with best practices and research in special education.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
Valid Massachusetts teaching credential in Special Education.
Moderate disability licensure required.
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
Strong understanding of different learning styles and differentiated instruction.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students' growth.
