Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract position in Oswego, New York. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients in our medical-surgical unit. This contract opportunity offers a schedule of 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Conduct thorough assessments, administer medications, and implement treatment plans in accordance with established protocols.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor and document patient progress, communicate effectively with team members, and provide patient education.
Demonstrate strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices.

Qualifications:

Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Minimum of two years of related experience in a medical-surgical setting.
Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support).
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing healthcare environment.
