LVN for Corrections

Sunbelt is accepting applications and interviewing for a strong Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Dillwyn, VA area for a travel assignment at a Corrections Facility.  At least one year of experience as a LPN is required; Interested applicants should apply today!

Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Conducts intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history and plans and providers nursing care for patients
• Makes nursing diagnosis of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommends treatment options and consults with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients
• Administers and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications

Education and Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required or compact license
• Basic Life Support Certification required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention Training

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

Length of Contract: 13 Weeks with possible extention

Work Hours: Assignment will consist of 12-hour shifts
