Job Details:
Position: Special Education Teacher (SPED)
Location: Near Detroit, MI
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Caseload: High School Science - Emotionally Impaired
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student, based on their unique needs and abilities
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of students with special needs
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid Special Education Teaching License for Michigan
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly in an educational setting
