Job Description

Position: Contracted School-Based LPN (1:1 Assignment)

Location: Wayne, PA

About Us: We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Contracted School LPN for a 1:1 assignment to provide comprehensive care to a student requiring tube feeds, seizure monitoring, and personal care assistance.

Responsibilities: In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct nursing care and monitoring to a specific student who requires tube feeding, seizure monitoring, and personal care assistance.
  • Administering tube feedings and medications according to the student's individualized healthcare plan.
  • Monitoring the student for signs of seizures and responding promptly to any seizure activity.
  • Assisting with activities of daily living, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene care.
  • Performing regular assessments of the student's health status, vital signs, and overall well-being.
  • Communicating effectively with the student's family, healthcare providers, and school staff to coordinate care and address any concerns.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records of the student's health status, treatments, and interventions.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Prior experience working with pediatric patients requiring tube feeding, seizure monitoring, and personal care assistance.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
  • Knowledge of tube feeding protocols, seizure management strategies, and personal care techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to students with complex medical needs.

Contract Details: This is a contracted position with a specific assignment to support a student with specialized healthcare needs. The duration of the contract and compensation will be determined based on the individual circumstances of the assignment. Further contract details will be provided upon offer of employment.
