Job Description

Vocovision is collaborating with a school district in Kentucky to hire a Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In this role, you will contribute your expertise to support the educational needs of students with hearing impairments through remote services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to each deaf or hard-of-hearing student's requirements
  • Utilize specialized teaching methods, communication strategies, and assistive technologies to deliver effective remote instruction
  • Collaborate remotely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student assistance

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the state of Kentucky
  • Experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students in an educational setting
  • Strong virtual communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues
  • Proficiency in using remote teaching platforms and assistive technologies for students with hearing impairments
