K-5 Special Education Teacher – Wheeling, IL

Sunbelt is hiring for Special Education teachers in the Wheeling, IL area focusing on kindergarten through 5th grade. This is a full-time position working in a great Illinois school district for the 22-23 school year. If you’re interested, please see the below details and apply.

Qualifications

  • IL Special Education License
  • IL Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) Endorsement
  • Previous experience working with Special Education students
  • Must be able to commute near Wheeling, IL

Caseload:

  • Kindergarten through 5th grade
  • Mild to Moderate disabilities
  • Full time – 35+ hours

Responsibilities

  • Provide special education support in the areas of language arts, math, and behavior support.
  • Developing and updating IEPs and lesson plans
  • Collaborate with general education teachers
  • Supervise Teaching Assistants
  • Provide home/school communication
