Job Description
This contract role offers the opportunity to provide mobile X-ray and EKG services across a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes and health care facilities. You will utilize portable digital or computed radiography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images and transmit them for radiologist interpretation. Strong communication with dispatch, management, and facility staff will be key, alongside maintaining both vehicle and equipment to ensure efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment to perform and process X-rays.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent images as per physicians orders.
- Perform EKGs when required and send results to cardiologists for review.
- Scan and submit exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, management, peers, and healthcare clients.
- Maintain and care for both the portable X-ray equipment and assigned vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with portable X-ray imaging, preferably in mobile or varied healthcare settings.
- Ability to produce clinically and technically sound imaging.
- Prior exposure to EKG procedures is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.
- Comfortable managing equipment setup and transportation logistics.
- Valid state radiologic technologist license as required.
