Job Description

A dynamic contract opportunity is available for a Radiologic Technologist with expertise in X-ray imaging at a prominent hospital located in Anchorage, Alaska. This role offers the chance to work with advanced imaging equipment in a fast-paced setting that includes heavy OR surgical cases, emergency room imaging, outpatient, and inpatient procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality imaging procedures including X-ray and fluoroscopy
  • Collaborate closely with surgical and clinical teams during complex cases
  • Ensure patient-centered care with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Participate in rotating call schedules including evenings, overnights, and weekends for OR add-ons and high volume cases

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • ARRT (R) certification with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience required
  • Preference given to candidates with 2 years ARRT registration and OR imaging experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality images with a focus on patient safety and comfort
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in clinical settings

Schedule/Hours:

  • Multiple shifts available; each traveler will be assigned a different shift, including day, evening, and night shifts with rotating call and holiday coverage
  • Examples of shift times: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM (Sat-Mon) 7:30 AM 6:00 PM (Sun-Wed) 10:30 AM 9:00 PM (Mon-Thu) 11:00 PM 7:30 AM (Mon-Fri) 8:00 AM 6:30 PM (Tue-Fri)

Work Environment and Equipment:

  • Practice within Radiology Department serving approximately 185 beds
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including GE systems, C-arms OEC 9800 & 9900, O-Arm, and GE 3D Carm
  • EMR systems include Epic and McKesson PACS
