- Valid certification as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent)
- Demonstrated proficiency in general ultrasound imaging procedures
- Knowledge of current radiology and safety standards
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise protocols
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ultrasound imaging examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring all images are high quality and diagnostic
- Accurately document patient history, procedure details, and findings in medical records
- Coordinate with radiologists and other healthcare providers for optimal patient outcomes
- Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all infection control and safety guidelines
