This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer skilled in general ultrasound procedures, providing crucial diagnostic services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your Schedule:
- Contract position with variable shifts based on facility needs
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- ARDMS certification (or eligibility) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or relevant specialty areas
- Proficient in performing and documenting general ultrasound exams
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and patient safety standards
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous experience as a sonographer in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality general ultrasound imaging following physician orders
- Explain procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout each exam
- Analyze images for diagnostic quality and assist physicians with imaging needs
- Maintain accurate records and document all procedures appropriately
- Prepare, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment, reporting any technical concerns
- Adhere to all infection control, privacy, and safety regulations
