Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Current certification by ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB required
  • Valid state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Proficiency in operating SPECT, PET, and gamma cameras, as well as radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with both patients and healthcare staff
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Schedule:

  • Full-time contract assignment
  • Rotating shifts, including potential weekends and evenings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental guidelines
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with strict adherence to safety standards
  • Monitor patient conditions, provide clear procedural instructions, and address individual patient needs
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other technologists to ensure optimal workflow and accurate results
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control testing to guarantee optimal operation at all times
  • Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and quality assurance practices
