Job Description

A Nuclear Medicine Technologist position is available for a 13-week contract in Port Arthur, TX. This role focuses on performing a broad range of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures to support patient care and contribute to efficient department operations.

Shift:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 am 3:00 pm
  • Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 am 4:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute nuclear medicine imaging procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Support other imaging technologists as needed to maintain smooth patient flow
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance activities
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols in handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals
  • Maintain daily logs and conduct periodic tests as required by licensure
  • Stay current with ongoing education, safety practices, and technological developments
  • Exhibit professional behavior and communication consistent with organizational values

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current BLS certification required
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT or NMTCB
  • Licensed MRT by the Texas Medical Board
  • Minimum one year of experience in nuclear medicine imaging
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems
