Job Description

This contract position requires a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a strong background in diagnostic imaging, ready to provide high-quality patient care.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, Days: 6:00 am 4:30 pm
  • On-call requirement: One day per week, weekday call 4:30 pm 6:00 am; weekends/holidays as scheduled, 6:00 am 6:00 am (minimum 2-hour call-back if called in)
  • Contract start date: Ideally June 21, with Wednesday-Friday orientation

Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio state license in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ODH); must be in hand prior to start (processing can take 2-8 weeks)
  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required
  • Previous experience with a full spectrum of diagnostic nuclear medicine scans
  • Proficiency operating advanced imaging equipment, including GE NM830, GE Optima 640 SPECT/CT, and Q-Stress systems
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Up-to-date resume
  • One reference
  • Ability to provide required documentation (OH license, national certification, interview availability)

Duties:

  • Perform a range of nuclear medicine scans, including stress, gastric, gallbladder, bone, parathyroid, thyroid, brain, and renal imaging
  • Average 510 patients per day, working alongside two other technologists
  • Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with regulatory protocols
  • Operate sophisticated imaging and stress testing equipment
  • Excluded from therapeutic nuclear medicine administration due to regulatory restrictions
