Job Description

Contribute your expertise in imaging and patient-centered care as a Diagnostic Mammography/Radiology Technologist. In this contract role, youll perform critical mammography procedures, collaborating with radiologists and multidisciplinary imaging professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis while providing support and reassurance to patients of all ages.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, contract position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography according to established protocols and safety principles (ALARA).
  • Ensure precise patient positioning, image quality, and accurate documentation.
  • Review physician orders, coordinate examinations, and assist radiologists in exam interpretation.
  • Retrieve and compare prior images, supporting efficient workflow and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Provide patient education on breast health and serve as a technical resource for mammography quality assurance.
  • Support additional imaging services, including Bone Density exams, CT, General X-Ray, and Fluoroscopy/OR procedures.
  • Participate in departmental quality and outreach initiatives; take call as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current ARRT registration in Radiography and Mammography.
  • Active California Radiologic Technologist License.
  • California Mammographic Technologist and Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist Licenses.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.
  • California Venipuncture Certificate (or obtain within three months of hire).
  • At least 5 years of mammography technologist experience.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and safely operate imaging equipment.
  • Comfortable working with blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, and chemical agents.
