Job Description
This opportunity calls for a skilled professional with expertise in mammography imaging to support outpatient services in a well-equipped medical center in Roanoke, VA. The role requires proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment and the Sectra PACS system, providing advanced mammography services including 3-D and digital mammograms, diagnostic and screening procedures, biopsies, and needle localization.
Scheduling Details:
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting performed using Epic system
- Facility allows one call-off shift every two weeks
- Local candidates beyond specific radius criteria not accepted; no first-time travelers
Qualifications and Certifications:
- ARRT certifications in Mammography (M) and Radiography (R) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Virginia state licensure preferred
Clinical Experience:
- Proven experience in outpatient mammography settings
- Competency in advanced mammography procedures including stereotactic biopsies and SAVI Scout technique
- Familiarity with Siemens imaging equipment is essential
