A healthcare opportunity is available for a Mammography Technologist skilled in imaging, specifically mammography, at a medical center located in Radford, VA. This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule, allowing for work-life balance while providing specialized outpatient imaging services using advanced equipment.
Responsibilities include performing various mammography procedures such as 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic and Screening Mammograms, Needle Localization, Stereotactic Biopsy, and specialized techniques like SAVI Scout and biopsies. The technologist will use Siemens imaging equipment and the Sectra PACS system to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging. Accurate charting in the Epic system is required to ensure patient records are meticulously maintained.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification by ARRT in Mammography (M) and Radiography (R)
- Current BLS certification
- Preferably licensed in the state of Virginia
- Proficient in Siemens mammography equipment
- Experience with outpatient diagnostic imaging
- Skilled in performing a range of mammography-related procedures, including advanced and biopsy techniques
Schedule and Work Details:
- Monday through Friday (5 days a week), 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No on-call or weekend work
- Facility may call off one shift every two weeks as per policy
