This opportunity seeks a skilled Mammography Technologist with expertise in 3-D Mammography and diagnostic imaging to support outpatient services. The position is a contract role based in Christiansburg, VA, offering a structured Monday through Friday schedule with no on-call duties, ideal for professionals seeking predictable hours.
Core responsibilities include performing a variety of mammography procedures such as screening mammograms, needle localization, stereotactic biopsies, and specialized techniques like SAVI Scout. Candidates will work extensively with Siemens imaging equipment and the Sectra PACS system, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- ARRT certification in Mammography (M) and Radiography (R) required
- Current BLS certification mandatory
- Virginia State licensure preferred
- Proven experience with Siemens mammography equipment
- Familiarity with Epic electronic charting system
- Demonstrated skills in outpatient procedures including digital mammography, diagnostic exams, and stereotactic biopsies
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 consecutive 8-hour shifts)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Facility call-off policy: one shift per two weeks possible
