A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) to provide expert imaging support in a high-acuity environment. This role involves working in a comprehensive, magnet-designated medical center with advanced cardiac and neuro interventional services. The position is travel-based, offering the chance to deliver care in a dynamic Level III Trauma Center equipped with cutting-edge Siemens and GE imaging technology.

Location highlights include a major metro area known for excellent healthcare infrastructure and cultural vibrancy. The facility supports adult patients only, handling approximately 40-50 patients daily within five procedural rooms staffed 24/7. The center is a Comprehensive Stroke Center with Level III NICU services, reflecting a commitment to patient care excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and assist in a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including kyphoplasty, central line placements, IVC filters, coil embolization, and neuro IR cases such as stroke interventions.
• Scrub and pan simultaneously during procedures.
• Support team efforts, working alongside two technologists per room with additional tech support on complex cases.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards.
• Participate in call rotations, responding within 30 minutes during scheduled shifts.
• Engage in orientation with preceptors and ongoing professional collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ARRT (RT[R]) certification and current Wisconsin licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of IR experience; first-time travelers with IR experience are welcome.
• Comfort with general and neuro IR procedures; experience with procedure coding preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and PACS (Change Healthcare) is advantageous.
• Ability to manage complicated imaging equipment including injectors and specialized devices.
