Job Description

A high-acuity interventional radiology technologist role is available at a Level III Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Racine, WI. This fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab environment performs 24-40 adult cases daily, including diagnostic, interventional, and advanced procedures such as STEMI/NSTEMI care, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, Impella, and peripheral interventions.

Key Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
  • Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cath lab cases, including peripheral procedures
  • Experience with conscious sedation and managing medication drips (for RN candidates)
  • Ability to scrub and pan during procedures (for Radiologic Technologist candidates)
  • Certifications as applicable: BLS and ACLS required; NRCIS and NIHSS preferred
  • Wisconsin licensure required for Radiologic Technologists
  • Hybrid lab experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Able to respond within 30 minutes when on call

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and assist with complex catheterization procedures safely and efficiently
  • Maintain 1:1 patient care ratio in a fast-paced lab environment
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, critical response teams, and support staff
  • Follow strict fatigue management policies ensuring safety and quality of care
  • Document accurately using EPIC and maintain equipment readiness (GE C-arms, Maclab hemodynamic monitoring, etc.)

Schedule:

  • Both 8- and 12-hour shifts available, with weekend rotations and on-call responsibilities every few months
  • Maximum 60 hours per week consistent with facility fatigue policies
  • Orientation provided for one week
