Job Description

An advanced interventional radiology opportunity awaits skilled techs in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac catheterization laboratory focused on adult patients. This contract position is based in Milwaukee, WI, offering an engaging environment where diverse diagnostic and interventional procedures are performed regularly.

Responsibilities:

  • Support cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic, interventional, RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, biopsies, and atherectomies.
  • Assist or perform scrubbing and panning during cases.
  • Manage conscious sedation and titrate drips (RN roles).
  • Collaborate with permanent staff, cardiology teams, and critical response personnel in a Level III trauma center setting.
  • Utilize systems such as EPIC for charting, and handle advanced equipment like C-arms, GE Pruka hemodynamic monitors, and others.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a cath lab environment.
  • Certification requirements:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) with BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred.
    • Radiologic Technologist (RTR) with BLS, ACLS, WI license; RCIS preferred.
  • Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, adult-only cardiac cath lab.
  • Experience with hybrid cases preferred but not required.
  • Ability to adhere to fatigue management policies and respond promptly when on call.

Schedule:

  • 8- or 12-hour shifts with potential combination options.
  • Weekend rotations and weekday call responsibilities on a scheduled basis.
  • 7-day call period every 2-3 months with a 30-minute maximum response time.
