Job Description

A skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist is needed for a contract opportunity in High Point, NC, supporting a busy Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital recognized as an Academic Medical Center with comprehensive stroke and chest pain centers. The role requires expertise in IR and vascular imaging, operating advanced fluoroscopy equipment independently, and assisting in a variety of interventional procedures.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year post-graduation or equivalent on-the-job experience as an IR Tech
  • ARRT(R) certification required; VI or CV preferred; RCIS with vascular experience considered
  • Current BLS certification mandatory
  • Proficient in using Siemens Hybrid Artis Pheno fluoroscopy units without training
  • Experience with angiography, IR/vascular procedures including aneurysm repair and peripheral vascular interventions
  • Ability to scrub, circulate, operate equipment, and troubleshoot minor issues in the OR setting
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and operate designated IR rooms, including float coverage as needed
  • Collaborate with neuro and body interventional physicians during procedures
  • Prepare and maintain procedural equipment and supplies
  • Participate in call rotations including some weekend and evening coverage with schedule flexibility
  • Adhere to hospital policies and support department goals and patient care excellence
