Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support procedures in a hybrid operating room environment. This contract position offers a 40-hour per week day shift schedule with additional on-call responsibilities, including 4 to 6 weekends and one night per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms before and after procedures, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
  • Review patient history and educate patients regarding their exams.
  • Accurately identify inpatients following established standards.
  • Administer contrast agents under physician guidance per protocol.
  • Conduct pain assessments and respond appropriately based on standard procedures.
  • Code procedures accurately for physician fee slips using current CPT coding systems and complete exam charges in electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support departmental and organizational needs.

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Valid Medical Imaging License for North Dakota issued by the state board.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association before start date.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interventional radiology techniques and related patient care.
