An opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a healthcare facility in Chicago, IL, through a travel assignment. This role offers a dynamic environment focusing on IR, peripheral vascular (PV), and vascular imaging procedures, including pulmonary embolism (PE) cases. The position is ideal for professionals who have completed at least one travel contract and possess the technical skills necessary to excel in an interventional radiology setting.
Schedule and Hours:
- 10-hour day shifts
- Minimum 2-hour callback requirement
- Approximately 10-12 on-call days per month for IR/vascular vascular call, responding within 45 minutes
- No scheduled weekend shifts unless on call
- Holiday coverage as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IR technology, with specific expertise in IR/PV/vascular imaging including PEs
- Previous travel healthcare experience, with at least one completed travel contract
- Valid Illinois Radiologic Technologist License
- Current CPR and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- Availability to respond timely to on-call notifications within a 45-minute radius
- New graduates will not be considered for this position
Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional radiology imaging procedures, assisting with vascular and peripheral vascular cases
- Support physicians during IR procedures by preparing equipment and managing patient positioning
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure patient safety protocols
- Respond effectively to on-call requests, providing critical imaging support for vascular emergencies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth procedural workflows
