A skilled Imaging - Echo professional is needed for a contract opportunity specializing in echocardiography. In this role, youll play a vital part in delivering high-quality cardiac imaging studies, helping support accurate diagnosis and optimal patient care. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will ensure comprehensive echocardiographic examinations and collaboration with a dynamic healthcare team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current registry with ARDMS or CCI in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS)
- Proven experience as an Echo Tech in acute care or hospital settings
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Skill in operating and maintaining ultrasound and diagnostic imaging equipment
- Ability to perform and interpret 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and other specialized cardiac imaging
- Exceptional interpersonal communication for effective patient and team interactions
- BLS certification (required)
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize caseloads efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms and vascular studies as ordered by physicians with precision and consistency
- Evaluate, analyze, and document test results to support physician diagnosis
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the procedure
- Maintain equipment and exam rooms, ensuring readiness for daily operations
- Accurately input patient data and adhere to all hospital protocols and compliance regulations
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and thorough care delivery
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance and continuous improvement process
