Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiovascular Sonographer/Echo Tech skilled in echocardiography and vascular imaging. This contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic ultrasound unit specializing in cardiac and vascular diagnostics. Candidates will perform a high volume of studies, including bubble studies, echo examinations, and vascular assessments, supporting a diverse patient population averaging 45 to 55 cases per day.

The schedule offers shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a weekend commitment every third weekend. The role requires RVT certification, with travel experience considered a plus. Familiarity with Meditech EMR and flexibility to float to an adjacent facility is expected. The position provides gray scrubs and attempts to accommodate blocked scheduling when possible.

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
  • Proven expertise in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures.
  • Experience working with Meditech EMR system.
  • Ability to handle a high patient volume efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts every third weekend.
  • Willingness to float to nearby facility locations as needed.
  • Prior travel ultrasound experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive vascular and cardiac ultrasound studies, including bubble and echo imaging.
  • Ensure accurate data acquisition and patient comfort throughout procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to deliver timely and precise diagnostic information.
