Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced pediatric cardiac sonographer with expertise in complex congenital heart disease imaging. This role requires a deep understanding of echocardiography, including scanning surgically repaired congenital heart defects, and proficiency with GE and Philips ultrasound systems.

Schedule / Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour day shifts, typically from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM
  • Varying start times including 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 9:00 AM for on-call shifts
  • Weeknight on-call coverage from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Option to work 4x10-hour shifts on weeks with requested time off

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum two years of solid pediatric cardiac sonography experience, particularly with complex congenital heart disease and repaired defects
  • Proficient in performing full measurements and writing comprehensive reports
  • Experience working with GE and Philips echocardiography machines
  • Reliable vehicle for coverage across a system of care
  • Required Certifications: ARDMS PE or CCI RCCS
  • Preferred: familiarity with Syngo Dynamics reporting system

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed echocardiogram imaging on pediatric patients with congenital heart conditions
  • Generate accurate, full echocardiographic reports with measurements
  • Provide on-call coverage for urgent imaging needs during nights and weekends
  • Collaborate with the cardiac care team to ensure quality diagnostic imaging

This contract opportunity runs from November 18, 2025, through February 21, 2026, offering 13 weeks of focused pediatric cardiac imaging work with a supportive schedule.
