Job Description
Seeking an experienced CT Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services at a dynamic medical unit specializing in computerized tomography. This contract position involves working with advanced United CT scan equipment within a fast-paced clinical setting that serves a diverse patient population. The role demands strong technical skills, effective communication with healthcare teams, and attention to detail in image processing and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients safely and accurately for CT imaging procedures.
- Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images according to protocol.
- Process images and complete all necessary paperwork efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal imaging results.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ARRT certification in CT and current BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CT imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a busy imaging department.
- Strong communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Schedule:
- Alternating evening shifts, typically from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
- Weekend shifts every other weekend.
- Occasional coverage of midnight shifts may be required.
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Work Environment: The unit utilizes Epic electronic medical records for streamlined documentation. Employees wear grey scrubs as a dress code standard, with a professional appearance expected at all times. The setting includes a well-equipped CT scanner and accommodates all patient types, requiring adaptability and sensitivity.
