A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to support advanced cardiovascular procedures in a well-equipped, Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Summerville, SC. This contract position offers a consistent 4x10-hour day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call responsibilities including 1-2 nights per week, one weekend every six weeks, and potential holiday coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including right and left heart caths, PCI, complex PCI, CTO, ASA, PFO/ASD closures, MitralClip, Watchman, PTMV, TAVR, as well as peripheral and vascular interventions.
- Work across five cath lab rooms and hybrid OR settings.
- Utilize advanced imaging equipment with adherence to radiation safety protocols, including proper use of agency-provided radiation badges.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain clear and accurate patient records, preferably using EPIC charting system.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience; first-time cath techs are also considered.
- Current certifications required: SCRQSA, ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association only).
- Preferred certifications: CCI with RCIS/RCES or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R).
- Ability to accommodate block scheduling as per managerial discretion.
- Willingness to respond as part of emergency teams during hurricane season (June-November), which may impact assignment timing.
