This role provides hands-on experience in Cardiovascular Intervention, covering Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Neurology, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology. Your expertise will be broadened as you work alongside leading clinicians, strengthen vital skills, and engage in advanced technology and clinical practices. Beyond your shifts, immerse yourself in Rockfords vibrant community, parks, and culinary scene during your downtime.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day Shift
  • On-Call Rotation (Weeknights, Weekends, and Holidays)

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program
  • IEMA-DNS Radiography accreditation
  • ARRT(R) required
  • ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient identification, allergies, and procedural consent
  • Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and medications
  • Monitor patient vitals and ensure accurate physiological monitoring
  • Scrub with physicians maintaining sterile technique
  • Operate contrast injectors, monitor radiation safety, and document dose
  • Acquire and process digital and 3D imaging
  • Assist with ultrasound-guided vascular or organ access/biopsy
  • Provide post-procedural care, including vascular closure and patient instruction
  • Contribute to clinical learning by offering practical instruction
