A critical role is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technician to support a busy Cardiac Cath Lab located in Cypress, TX. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where you will work alongside skilled RNs and Cath Lab Techs in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with Phillips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment.

The Cardiac Cath Lab operates with two procedure rooms and a team-based patient care model, maintaining a 3:1 team-to-patient ratio during procedures. Using EMR systems such as MERGE Hemo and Meditech, you will contribute to high-quality patient outcomes performing a variety of procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker/ICD implantations, Watchman device placements, IR procedures, vascular interventions, and EP ablations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must-have)
• Preferred experience: Electrophysiology procedures
• Proven skills in imaging and catheterization techniques
• Ability to adapt and work flexibly within a team setting

Responsibilities:

• Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures in pre, intra, and post-procedure phases
• Monitor and maintain sterile technique and procedural safety guidelines
• Collaborate closely with fellow technologists and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Document accurately in EMR systems and adhere to unit protocols including universal precautions, sedation guidelines, and timeout procedures

Schedule:

• Day shift coverage primarily, with weekend and on-call rotations including one full weekend plus two weekdays per four-week schedule (total 10 shifts)
