Job Description

A healthcare opportunity in Charlotte, NC is available for a skilled Imaging professional specializing as a Cath Lab Tech. This contract role offers the chance to contribute to outpatient interventional cardiac services within a well-equipped facility recognized as a Chest Pain and Certified Stroke Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging and assist in cardiac catheterization procedures including ablations and pacemaker placements.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques, conduct sheath pulling, TR band placement/removal, and secure lines.
  • Interpret EKG and cardiac rhythms to support patient care.
  • Utilize department-specific technology such as Merge/Hemo and document accurately in EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate closely with department leadership and healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac/Cath Lab nursing or technology.
  • Certification requirements: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, or RCIS credentials.
  • Competency in IABP and Impella device management is essential.
  • Familiarity with vascular issues, chest pain management, and related cardiac interventions.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and line securement.

Location: Charlotte, NC is a vibrant city known for its growing healthcare industry and excellent quality of life. The facility is located conveniently, offering free parking and oriented towards outpatient cardiac services.

Additional Details:

  • Orientation includes 3-4 days on unit training.
  • Scrub colors are navy or green surgical, provided on site.
  • This position is ideal for candidates residing at least 50 miles outside the area, consistent with traveler radius rules.
