Job Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students' educational needs and assess their eligibility for special education services. Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and fellow professionals to formulate individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement effective interventions. Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and social-emotional support to students, addressing their unique challenges in the virtual learning environment. Contribute to the development and execution of behavior intervention plans, fostering a positive and inclusive digital learning atmosphere. Support educators by providing strategies and recommendations to enhance students' academic and social-emotional development. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to assess students' progress and formulate appropriate support plans. Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field. Possess a valid Illinois School Psychologist license. Have previous experience working in school settings, addressing social and emotional issues. Demonstrate familiarity with digital learning platforms and technology. Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills. Show organizational and time management abilities.
