A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced Physical Therapist specializing in home health care. This full-time contract position, based in Waynesville, NC, offers the chance to deliver personalized physical therapy services directly to patients in their homes over a 13-week assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive initial assessments of patients physical condition, mobility, and functional abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and physician orders
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to enhance strength, range of motion, and independence
  • Educate patients and families on proper techniques for exercises, transfers, and use of assistive devices
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate care
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards adhering to federal and state regulations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina
  • Prior experience in home health physical therapy
  • Proficiency with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) electronic medical record software
  • Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Medicare regulations and documentation for home health services
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for patient visits
