Job Description
Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes who experience cognitive or physical impairments due to injury, disease, disability, or other causes. Patients range from infancy to elderly adults, requiring compassionate, tailored care. Collaborate closely with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to assess needs and develop coordinated care plans. Efficiently manage technical, environmental, and financial resources to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist registered with the appropriate state board
- Minimum of 1-year certified home care OT experience
- At least 2 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or home healthcare settings
- Skilled in using various computer software; familiarity with hand-held patient care devices preferred
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing situations
- Willingness to travel within the geographic area as needed
