Job Description

Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Near Brambleton, Virginia

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs. This role requires a skilled professional who can assess student achievement, manage behavior, and collaborate effectively with other staff members.

Responsibilities:

Assess student achievement
Plan and implement instructional and learning strategies and activities
Manage the behavior of students in the instructional setting to ensure the environment is conducive to the learning process
Coordinate instructional activities with other staff
Communicate with parents
Communicate with students on instructional expectations
Maintain progress reports
Maintain assessment and evaluation documentation

Qualifications:

VA SPED License as DHH, required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
Experience working with students with disabilities
Knowledge of special education laws and regulations

Details:

Full-time position at 35 hours weekly for the 2024/25 school year.
Weekly pay with a competitive pay package.
Full benefits, including medical and dental insurance, with a 401(k).
