Location: Bowling Green, Virginia

About the Role:
Seeking a qualified, compassionate, and motivated School Psychologist to support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral success. This role involves working closely with educators, families, and mental health professionals to create positive educational experiences and address students' diverse needs. The School Psychologist will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and develop targeted interventions to enhance student achievement and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students' academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Work with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Offer direct support to students through counseling, crisis intervention, and group facilitation.
  • Consult with school staff to design effective strategies that support a safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with staff and families to review student progress, challenges, and goals.
  • Provide professional development and training for school personnel on mental health, learning differences, and classroom management.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and records, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Virginia School Psychologist license or certification.
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist (K-12 preferred).
  • Proficiency in child development, assessment tools, and evidence-based interventions for learning and behavioral needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
