Job Description

Sunbelt is working with a school district near Waterford, CT that has a job opening for a Special Education Teacher to work in their school for the current school year. The Special Education Teacher will be working full time hours, Monday through Friday.

Job Qualifications:

SPED Certification - NEEDED FOR CONSIDERATION
Experience with significant behavioral issues highly preferred

Job Details:

Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Disabilities: Moderate
Multiple positions K-12 (will be placed based upon experience)
Employ special educational strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of sensory and perceptual motor skills, language, cognition, and memory.
Confer with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) designed to promote students' educational, physical, and social/emotional development.
