Health Educator RN
ApplySunbelt is looking to bring on a Public Health Nurse- RN to help support COVID operations. The ideal candidate would be flexible with their work schedule and have the ability to pass a background check and drug test. Please see more details below:
Job Duties:

Work with the Health Literacy program to support disease prevention
-
Health promotion for COVID-19 and chronic disease
-
Reports to the Medical Director
-
Develop a health education strategy
-
Understand the impact of environment on health outcomes, and use a root cause model to create education materials that support and empower Chicagoans
-
Create health education materials for web, print, and in person education
-
Use a health literacy framework to oversee educational materials, including cultural and linguistic sensitivity to Chicago communities

Work with partners to implement health education training
-
Work with communications team, public information office, and information coordinator
-
Work with colleagues who oversee youth and school settings
-
Work with colleagues who partner with community health settings to create and disseminate chronic disease information
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois, supplemented by two years of work experience in ambulatory care nursing, or a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited National League for Nursing (NLN) program with a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
