Grand Blanc, MI Area - Job Opening for School Social Worker with ASL Skills

I have interview availability for a School Social Worker with basic to proficient ASL skills. Services are currently being provided virtually, with no immediate expectation to return onsite this year.

Details:

• Part time contractual position for the remainder of the school year, with very strong long term potential
• K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing student population with moderate to severe social-emotional and behavioral concerns
• Responsibilities:
  • conducting assessments and evaluations
  • establishing goals 
  • collaborating with therapists, teachers, and school administration
  • providing counseling services
• Requirements:
  • Michigan School Social Worker's License (LARA)
  • Michigan 310 School Approval
  • American Sign Language skills are strongly preferred
  • school-based or extensive pediatric experience, preferably with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals
