Full time School Social Worker Job-22/23 School Year– Wadsworth, Illinois

We are seeking a qualified School Social Worker for a school-based position located near Wadsworth, Illinois.

The School Social Worker will be working with a K-12 grade caseload and will be providing services that may include:

  • The social worker would be responsible for writing the social work IEP sections
  • Attending all meetings needing social work support
  • Updating SSM logs as well as implementing the services outlined in the IEPs
  • Anything else that pops up to support the success of our students.
  • Under the direction of the Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Special Services, perform a variety of social service case management functions involved in identifying, assessing, and counseling students and families with attendance problems; develop referral plans; provide intervention as needed; and participate in the development of programs aimed at improving student attendance, achievement, self-esteem, and behavior.

Day to Day:

  • Mild to moderate caseload, K-12
  • Full 2022-2023 school year

Requirements:

  • Possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work
  • Understanding and experience with curriculum design, planning and instruction
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  Valid driver’s license and Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
