Job Description

Sunbelt is looking to bring on a Project Manager to help support a Violence Prevention unit. The ideal candidate would be flexible with their work schedule and have the ability to pass a background check and drug test. Please see more details below: 

Job Duties: 

  • Under supervision, coordinates and administers citywide initiatives, departmental programs and special projects of a complex and technical nature.  

  • Develops and coordinates the development of emergency response plans with hospitals, public and private health agencies and first responder agencies to ensure a coordinated public health response by the city for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear emergencies.  

  • Coordinates and works with hospitals and other health institutions to ensure city meets benchmarks for hospitals preparedness including alternative care site plans in compliance with federal grant guidelines and mandates 

  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and Appendix E forms. 

  • Set objectives for the HR team to track progress based on metrics. 

  • Directs the execution of marketing communications campaigns across print, radio, broadcast, mail, email and mobile, utilizing the most relevant marketing channels for each message based on the target audience and objectives. 

  • Coordinates and supervises the preparation of written, printed, and photographed material to promote activities and programs. 

  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of social media platforms, website, and marketing campaigns, to determine if marketing goals are being met. 

  • Serves as an effective project manager, leading regular status meetings with internal teams and external vendors to ensure campaigns are completed on-time and on-budget. 

  • Utilizes social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) to communicate programs, events and services. 

  • Conceptualizes thematic designs for print and digital materials (e.g., logos, brochures, mounted displays, banners, and web graphics). 

  • Designs art work using professional computer graphic programs (e.g., Adobe, Illustrator, and Photoshop) or traditional art production methods. 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications or a relative field supplemented by two years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of public health programs, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 

  • Execute operational and/or tactical-level objectives developed by the community by the direction of the operations team in specific areas within unity that have been impacted by violence. 

  • Keen recognition, understanding, communication from a violence prevention perspective on a meaningful response to violent incidents and empower individuals and communities to adapt to, withstand, and quickly recover from traumatic events with support from the city. 

Job Details: 

  • 9am-5pm 

  • Monday-Friday 

  • 40 Hours a week 

  • 52-week contract
