Job Description

Caseload:

  • Process referrals from counselors at other schools and serve as the first point of contact for new families. Give student tours, organize shadow day schedule for new students.
  • Update credit sheet, monitoring grades each grading period (updating after each grading period)
  • Tally up Edgenuity each grading period
  • Update PGP for students
  • Co-facilitate weekly Women’s group on campus
  • Sending transcripts to colleges/letters of rec – current Counselor will have “most” of this done before leaving, but some schools have rolling admission.
  • Tracking work exp. Hours and PE logs
  • Grade change forms (for fixing issues)
  • Scheduling classes which changes EVERY grading period
  • Scheduling CAASPP testing, Current Counselor will help with this before leaving
  • Participate in bi-weekly COST mtgs (MTSS)
  • Participate in bi-weekly SPED team meetings
  • Staff meetings every Mon 8:15-9:45
  • Participate in every IEP meeting
  • Manage 504s, They only have a few
  • Update advisory lists, assign advisory

Details:

  • ASAP – June 14th, 2024
  • 1 “Continuation High School” site – 61 students
  • Full time
  • Pupil Personnel License or Postgraduate Professional License with an endorsement in school counseling 
  • Previous experience preferred
