We are looking for a certified EP for travel.
The EP Tech provides assistance to physician as required in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath Lab. Provides assistance to the medical staff by operating, maintaining and preparing all EP cardiovascular equipment needed for Electrophysiology studies. Present during electrophysiology studies and assists medical staff in placing diagnostic equipment, inducing arrhythmias, mapping arrhythmias, ablation, dealing with emergent situations, immediate post-procedure recovery of patients, and other similar tasks as directed by the physician. Teaches, trains, and mentors new staff while exhibiting enhanced technical skills associated with the EP process.
This position also contains the role and responsibilities as outlines in the Cath Lab Tech job description. This includes cardiac angiography/angioplasty and peripheral vascular cases.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology and/or an accredited Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist program. Associates degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years invasive cardiac experience and 2 years electrophysiology experience preferred with 3 years invasive cardiac experience and 1 year electrophysiology experience required. Experience to include mapping of arrhythmias, catheter manipulation, and application of therapy.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) required. MA licensure required. BLS and ACLS required.
