Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Arts Teacher to join Sunbelt
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote active student participation.
- Teach students a variety of English Language Arts skills, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis.
- Nurture students' love for literature and cultivate their critical thinking abilities through discussions, projects, and interactive activities.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss student performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials, assessments, and instructional strategies.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in English Language Arts education, and integrate innovative teaching techniques into the classroom.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Must be authorized/citizen of the United States
- Teaching certification or license in English Language Arts in associated state
- Proven experience teaching English Language Arts at the secondary level (middle school or high school).
- Deep knowledge of English literature, grammar, and composition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and their integration into the classroom.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and a growth mindset.
