Elgin, IL 1:1 Sign Language Interpreter Jobs - Next School Year 
We have a great opportunity for full time Sign Language Interpreters certified to work in the state of Illinois.  These are full-time contract positions in an educational setting for the school year. We are actively interviewing, so apply today!

Job Type:

  • Full-time - 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday during standard school hours.
  • 2024-2025 school year

Job Details: 

  • In these roles you would be providing one on one services to students ranging from K-12th grade (Please let us know your preferred age group)
  • Provide interpretation and translation services between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL)  
  • Collaborate with the DHH teacher to assist in facilitating communication in educational settings
  • Work closely with the student on a 1:1 basis to support their understanding and engagement in classroom activities
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for the student to facilitate their social and academic integration


Qualifications: 

  • Must possess ISBE Approval as an Educational Interpreter or short-term approval
